My father submitted a photograph to a contest being sponsored by "The Saturday Review. His picture was of a church in Mexico. The winning shot was of a park bench someplace. He was pretty ticked at not winning, especially when he saw the winning shot. But I, then 17, replied that "The Saturday Review" probably received numerous pictures of churches, but very few of park benches. He was not happy with my criticism. I snuck away from the dinner table, saying I thought his picture was nice. I did not gain many points that night.
Anyway, here's the stats: Yesterday, I walked 10,868 steps. As of this moment, 7:05p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2009, I have walked in total 212,060 steps in 18 days.
